Today, we attended the Hike Of Hope at the Tree People Trail, organized by the LA chapter of Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness/October 15th Organization. Attended by 35 people like us, parents, grandparents, friends and families who all lost their babies too soon. A beautiful day, meeting wonderful people, hugging them, crying together, I felt like I knew them all so well, so sad so many had to be there, but at the same time such a nice gesture for our babies. So many little babies in spirit were there with us this day. In the evening at 7 o'clock, we lit a candle for her. The wave of light was constant all throughout the world, my parents, grandparents, friends near and far also lit candles. It is so nice to have a day of Remembrance dedicated to them. Of course, we think of them equally every single day, today is no different.
I just lost my beautiful baby girl. She was only 19 days old. When she died, I lost my hopes, dreams, future as well as part of myself. Ater she died, I learned it was because of a rare genetic disorder called Incontinentia Pigmenti, which she inherited from me. I never knew I had it as I have no symptoms. With IP the chances of having a healthy child are only 50%. This is my life without my baby. My struggle to face every day as I long for my daughter and hope for a healthy child.
